Fun Fact

The longest odds to win for any team this weekend is Melbourne.

Paying $3.40 to beat west coast

Even Gold Coast has better odds of winning!

Thanks for the mocker:glare:

dunno what happend to my typing when i did that...looked rather cool so i left it.....it started out me saying dont be cruel to Pie supporters then i got on a train about all the press and the economic doom were in and how we WILL get swallowed up in a sea of poo all very soon...so dont watch the news dont talk about it dont prompte it block it out think positive like this will manily all be over in 2 to 3 months.....

As for the first round of footy so far, thank god for Freo giving it a go and Crows/Swans other wise i would have slept all day saturday so much so its 3 am and im wide awake....

Ive found it somewhat flat...hope its better tomorrow.....think the shorter quarters i dont like....once the game gets going crowd isnt a factor its not like the cameras are watching the crowed you know......Liked Mat Richardson taking differant seats around the ground friday night....at least he has a sense of humor.....

And the Demons better be on the ball tomorrow....lot of noise came out of casey over the summer, ive ignored it and havent bothered to watch there properganda films there stuck on the website, egg all over there faces if at the very least they dont run it down to the wire...

I like the shorter quarters, hope they keep them.

For me, the footy has been pretty much under whelming so far.

Having said that, WC haven't played as yet.

The crowd certainly adds to the atmosphere.

But I think a lot of people, myself included are just flat over the virus.

Should be 3 good games today though.

Shorter quarters are going to help younger teams and older teams over the course of the year

Given the season is 17 games and games are 20% shorter, teams such as Hawthorn and Geelong will be able to manage their older players better and not fade out in the last 5 minutes.

Ditto for young teams such as Sydney and Adelaide. They wont get burnt out by game 10 and the bottom half of the season is a blow out.

What will happen to our season. SA and WA are closing their borders. All visitors will have to self isolate for 14 days.

Big Gil will be making an announcement soon.

its offical........closed untill further notice.....May 31 to date, hands were forced....the big Vic is keeping aliens out of the state....so then rest of the country have followed suite....

And yes the Eagles and Dee's are playing then were hiring a bus toget home....nice long drive to either party or thank god its over already.....

Difficult to see the season being played out as 17 games unless there is some type of universal testing for covid-19 made available and at the ready
Perhaps a 10 game season is the best they can hope for

If the season doesn't re-open does that mean Port are Premiers 2020?

Oh well, you know what they say about an ill wind....

I think they will play longer and try and fit as many games in as possible over a short period.

IMO, anything less than 17 games and the finals should be canned.
