A drunk driver called Chaiwat Decakhamphu, 32, was at the wheel. He comes from a village about two or three kilometers away.

There were 11 people playing Songkran and chatting in and around the store when Chaiwat lost control of his vehicle and plowed into the store area.

Several children were seen running for their lives.

a sobering video clip; safety and thais and moving vehicles do not go together

  • Popular Post

Nothing new seen here; this is the every day scene in a country full of drunken numbskulls !

Jeez a good attempt at wiping out an entire family, all in the safety of there own property.

Thank god someone was alert & let the others know to run for it!

saw this on the news last night and I just got very angry at the total stupidity of the majority of Thai drivers, young and old.  Then to follow it up, I had to watch some idiot try to reverse his pick up into a parking space in Tesco and cock it up time and time again. They truly are the most appalling drivers.

Yet again, Thais defy the laws of physics when they get behind the wheel. How the hell do you drive a vehicle sideways???

Probably some other car gave the drunk driver some light signals so then the drunk had to overtake another car to show everyone who is the boss of the road.

Those innocent kids could have been easily all dead just because of his sensitive  drunk ego.

Many thais are alcoholic without knowing they are, they don't even know the meaning . Drunk Driving should be punished by at least 6 months in jail.
