Unexpected Rain

Featured Replies

Having our third visit of thunder, lightning, and rain this evening. Really coming down right now.

Absolutely no prediction of any precipitation from the forecasts I've been checking.

But thanks.

Not much down here, it barely wet the ground.

A lot of wind though, dead leaves piled up everywhere this morning.

... yes, same here in the northern outskirts of Phayao City (the posh parts), just a short shower & windy;
but it did cool down, 21 instead of 27 in the morning.
Air looks nice too, still bad though at 160, on par with The Rai and Chiang Mai ... couple of deep breaths still saving you a fag.

As for forecasts, guesswork all of them but these here weren't that far off actually, forget hourly but Ventuskys 3h-accumulation makes some sense, the Swiss page does 3h increments by default anyway:

(if the graphs in the bottom third of the page don't work try it with Internet Explorer ...)

I am heading to naklua soon. I expect it will be very wet there today.

Immediately after posting this thread, the lights went out and they just came back now. First thunderstorm of the year first day-long blackout.

We got 7mm of rain if anyone is interested. And a serious squall at the beginning.

You lucky bugger .....

We're getting it now, heavy rain, strong winds, thunder and lightning, the full monty.

25k north of Chiang Rai we had a downpour at 5pm , much needed , worst part was it gave an excuse for them over the road to burn plastic rubbish !

sceadungena

It was the full monty alright, but not long enough. Boo Hoo

We only got the thunder here in Mae Fah Luang
We need some rain - so we can all breathe again
Im from the uk- i never thought i would think like that !
