Sitting inside all day isn't really the 'old age' I imagined having, quite frankly death would be preferable to this in the long  term.

Either pharmaceuticals or surgery will be necessary. You don't need a prostate to bang your GF, although as I understand it some patients don't come up well. A lottery.

Love the judgement here. Like walking up to a paraplegic in a high-tech wheelchair and telling him to climb back in bed where he belongs. Just because an older gentleman wishes to mingle with young, beautiful women, knowing full well they are for hire, does not mean he is a fool. Even at my age, I still get the attention of the occasional "young, attractive, educated and financially independent lady", yet find many of them to be an absolute snooze-fest. Until I find the right one, I will happily rent my fun.

you're not wrong, I'm in mid 30s and meet girls but a lot of them bore me, can't have real conversations with most of them..

you would think it's a language barrier.. but some of them have great English skills, still no interest in anything other than Facebook, Instagram or TV shows

No judgement... It was a response to a10ams’ comment implying that 50% of posters were lying (that they wouldn’t consider dating a bar girl).

 

There is no criticism whatsoever of those who go into such ‘transactions / relationships’ with eyes wide open. I feel for the guys who think ‘theirs is different’ and get screwed over, although it would appear that there are quite a number of accounts that ‘theirs was in fact different’ and has prove to be a loving and loyal partner. 

 

You hit the nail on the head with ‘snooze fest’... I have found many women in Thailand to have a somewhat ‘cardboard’ personality or just a little bit too crazy and off the rails, but that’s the same as when I was young in the UK.

My son used to say half the girls studying at his university were hooking part-time to help make ends meet. I suppose that balances the 50% of men. I suspect most go on to marry and have children. Fortunately, we've moved on from the moral indignation of "The Second Mrs. Tanqueray".

If you like to eat different kinds of food (using that as an analogy), then renting short-term is the way to go. If you want to eat the same food every day, then having the same girlfriend or being married is the way to go. As for paying ladies for sex versus not paying, you can fool yourself all you want, but in truth, every woman I ever dated (not prostitutes) cost me the more money than any short-term rental ever cost me. And, the one that cost me the most was the one I married because she was legally entitled to one-half of everything I acquired during our marriage even though I paid for everything. I am married to a Thai lady now and I can tell you they all have money needs. Slavery was banned in my home country 150 years ago and I think it's against the law here too so I don't expect my wife to live with me for room & food only.

Haha... that's called domestic slavery... and I wouldn't want the type of woman that is so poor that she would be willing to live with someone (for sex & housekeeping chores) for room & food only. A wife is entitled to a portion of the household income by law in my home country, so why would I not treat my wife here in the same manner.

 

Domestic slavery occurs when domestic workers are not paid at all and only receive ‘payment in kind’ such as food or accommodation.
