Grab have announced that they are rewarding frequent users of their service in Chiang Mai with gold.

The top two users of the Taxi, Delivery and Food Service arms will each receive a one saleung weight bit of gold.

This is one fourth of a baht weight and worth just under 5,000 baht at today's prices.

The prizes can be checked at Facebook Grab TH.

Two time periods are being used: 27th May to 2nd June and 3rd June to 9th June.

There are 12 prizes in total.

but there are some posters around saying Grab is Illegal.

I think it would be hilarious if one of the top users was a songthaew driver...

So not only are Grab giving Sonthaews a beating on service, price and comfort but they are now rubbing their noses in it by offering free gifts.

Priceless.
