Tyre replacements

Featured Replies

Been reading a few threads on here that recommend changing the standard tyre that comes with a click to Michelin street tyres.

Where can I get a fitted set in Chiang Mai and what will the damage be approx? Presumably main honda dealers will charge a premium?

just order a set on lazada and have some local guys put them on... i would recommend using tubeless if non spoke rims

Well it all depends on the wheel rim on your bike they may only take a tyre with a tube so be careful of what you order on-line, a tubeless tyre will not fit in most cases.

Usually the rim has to be an MT-type rim, if it is marked as a WM-type rim you can only fit tubed tyres.

If your bike is a scoot it don't matter what you tyres you fit IMHO.

Still seems quite a lot of tread left on the tyres nearly 7k. How often on average are they normally replaced on a click?

It's a Honda click 125i with magna wheels 80/90/14

The type of tire (tubed, tubless) depends on your rim, you will get the same type you use now, the shop will know what they do ????

You also don't have to worry too much about getting a Michelin (this shop has Michelin tires), sure this is a good tire, but other brands like Pirelli, Metzeler etc. are good as well.

The stock tires will probably last more than 20k kms.

On my H. Airblade scoot I change em when they are worn to the wear mark or more or if there's any noticeable damage like cracks or tears in the tread.

Always fit Deestones at a tyre motorcycle shop.

My scoot is mag rim but can only take tubed tyres, as I said it's a scoot makes no difference or preference to me.

Maybe the later click's can take either that is something I do not know.
