I'm getting a "too many redirects" error, TOT fibre, Bangkok.

Same with VPN to the UK so looks like an issue with ESPN.

I got the too many redirects on a VPN.

Tried with no VPN using True online and it opened using a incognito window.

Turned off VPN on normal window and got the too many redirects message.

No cookies on a incognito window so it might be best try the cooky thing suggested in the message.

I'm getting the ESPN home page just fine now... in BKK via my U.S. VPN and 3BB fiber.

Yes, with a US IP it's working just fine.

Thai IP, too many redirects.

Yup, and when I switched to my local Thai IP with 3BB, got the redirects error still just now.

If you are outside the US ESPN now want you to use the global site global.espn.com instead of the U.S. site.

It's got to be an issue on their site.  For the last couple months it was redirecting to the global site you mentioned, but today it's not.

To further this case, when I searched for espn.com nba in google, their link worked just fine directly to their nba page.

Yeah, no question that they have a problem with the redirection. But as you end up on the global site even when the redirection works, you might as well go directly to the global site (which works) and bypass the redirection.

As already stated, it's obviously an issue of the ESPN site.

I managed to open:

https://www.espn.com/

with Firefox and scripts disabled.

Using Chrome: shortly see "not working" and then some "redirect" message and end on the global page:

https://global.espn.com/

(all on ToT fiber, no VPN used)

Now using VPN with US addr.

Enter "espn.com" in the address bar.

Results in the US version for both browsers.

From the global site.

Have you noticed this?:

(all new!)

global.jpg

There you can select "US"

Repeating ("espn.com") and I end at the US site without problem.

Seems like they read a cookie (which is not existent at first try with this new site).

So I assume this workaround should help.

Open the global site:

https://global.espn.com/

Then click on the menu shown in previous post and select "US" (assume that's what you want).

From then on use (bookmark):

https://www.espn.com/

I sometimes have problems with scripts slowing my pc. How do I disable scripts on win10? Thanks.

Scripts that I am referring to are those from the websites and being run by the browser.

So methods depend on browser type.

And completely disabling scripts for websites makes a majority of them unusable.
