Last night was incredible.

   The tide at the river mouth was as high as I've ever seen.

The moon was full and bright to the South and there was a huge thunderstorm off to the North across the river.

In between the two was a sky full of stars.

   We walked to the night market in the tropical air.

We arrived in the late afternoon and the light caught things just right.
   
   The people were illuminated in all different colors and the smell of the foods being cooked were magnificent.

   All kinds of music played and people talking and smiling.

I remember saying to myself aloud,  "jesus, this is like a dream."


When we got back from the market the storm across the river started up.

I took off my shirt and shoes and walked out into the moonlight and watched the man pull his nets from the water.
 

The moonlight and his little headlamp and a blinking red floatlight were all he had on the water.

 

Music filtered in from the different Temples along the river.

it was beautiful.
