My song of the year, pii jon pon, not the concert soundtrack but they put it together well. Could not find a good one with Nong Bua appearing on it, but she is on the recording here. Looked like a great concert.

Here’s “Boo Jang” with the original (subs) and then a mash-up of his song, made mega famous by the singer of Cocktail on the Masked Singer show. Love these guys energy.

Going with something a little different.  Ever since I saw them open for Radiohead at MBK Hall in 1994, I've been a big fan of Moderndog, and have all their albums.  Some great songs, from head banging:

To quieter, more tuneful beauties:

And, if it's dancing girls you want, they have that too:

Whats the difference between Lamyai and Morlam sing. I like a lot of the street morlam with pin, drums, organ, kaen pipes etc

and the more traditional morlam

I sang with Loso once at one of his concerts. He seen me singing along to his song Jai sung ma and invited me on stage. A few years later he made a nice comment on facebook about my cover of his song Mae wah. The guy was a rock star during his prime. So much talent but it possessed him ,like many before him

Hi riclag

Many thanks Yinn / Orton rd,  my all time favourite is (excuse the spelling etc) Sanya mer ci yang. Da da da dara da ....Reminds me of westside saloon in Hatyai from 1997 - 2002 when I lived there.

The band were excellent and still the same members playing there these days I think.

There are several styles of morlam:

1. With just the kaen and one voice- Powerful singing from Jintara

A duet with the kaen. Voices in synch with the rhythm

The bass driven Morlam Toei style

Nothing yet from my favorite genre , Look Groong , the city folks answer to Look Tung. I like the big band jazz influence.

Here's one to sing to your wife next time you are plastered.

Hi Denim.
