Thai PM recommends two more books

In a late night tweet on Friday, Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha recommended two bestselling books, ‘The Fourth Industrial Revolution’, and its sequel, ‘Shaping the Fourth Industrial Revolution’, both written by Professor Klaus Schwab, founder and executive chairman of World Economic Forum (WEF). He tweeted on @prayutofficial that the books raise “many interesting issues”.

“Thanks to Professor Klaus Schwab for these two books. I have read them and found that there are many interesting issues in them. I would like to recommend the books to you all” he said in the tweet.

The books are signed by the author, with the addition of a brief message which reads:

“For H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha with best wishes to lead Thailand into the age of the Fourth

Industrial Revolution.

Klaus Schwab

12/07/19″

I am amazed a man that I have never heard speaking, nor understand English (he uses an interpreter as seen on TV) can read 2 books written in English within a few hours and then give comment on these

"Schwab visited the Thai prime minister at Government House on Friday." 2 books a night man! He tells a good story. There are no ends to his talents.

  • Shouldn't he adapt to the first industrial revolution prior to taking huge steps to the 4th.   He probably thinks it a military coup or rolling in the tanks against a group of factory worker

I highly doubt he even knows what they are about. Otherwise he'd know he'll be replaced by an AI running on a C64 in a few months. Doesn't take much to replace two malfunctioning braincells.

You're on a roll, don't stop now

Somkid is looking a bit hangdog and disinterested. I wonder is the weakening economy getting to him.

Prayut could read to him some enriching bedtime stories like "Shaping the Fourth Industrial Revolution".

That might lift him up.

C'Mon! We all know that you're more a childish book lover.

What about Aladdin and the Wonderlamp as a start?

He probably simply sits down at a desk, the two closed books in front of him. He touches his temples left and right with his index fingers, closes his eyes, chants a mysterious magic mantra, concentrates on the books' contents and - voila! - the words (or actually their Thai translation) burn themselves into his brain. Don't underestimate the truly awesome capabilities of a man of his esteemed caliber.

Next on the his to read list: Mein Kampf and the little red book.

I bet he can memorise every single line of 'Mein Kampf' already for years.

Yes. As Prime Minister he is entitled to be addressed as such.

I don't think that I have ever come across a country that is so uninterested in the written word. Apart from stupid comic books, Thais  just don't seem to bother with books at all.

I have my doubts PM could read books in English or German language.

What a load of egg on the TVF cynics faces

I'm disappointed.

I thought the books would have been "Mein Kampf"  and "Soylent Green"

All I need to know is that this Schwab character is endorsing - PERSONALLY endorsing, in his own inscriptional handwriting - Prayut, after actually meeting, touching and praising the Leader. That is enough for me.

I want nothing to do with such an 'intellectual' sell-out and scumbag. His book is one I will definitely NOT be reading!

Thank you teacher, but not interested in those books.

Easy for a man of his sub-par extremely high intelligence.

And according to what I've seen elsewhere 'it rambles on...'

Well, TKDfella - there it apparently shares something with Mein Kampf: pretty much unreadable!

What about "one flew over the cuckoo's nest"

Ahhh. He could borrow Prawit's new plane.

My favourite book is my Bank Book or Book Bank as Thai's say

That pic' .. Is it some sort of Masonic greeting Chair P' is attempting on the Prof' .. Or is he just partially sighted ..

If those 2 books don't come in Manga form, they won't be very popular.
