I’m looking at getting a WRX (possibly STI) and was wondering how any owners have found service support from Subaru, as well as general ability to get servicing done in Thailand.

I’m also interested in alternative suggestions for a quick little car. The Focus Ecoboost and Civic turbo look ok, but I love the rexxy.

I know they’re all overpriced but have around 3 mil to spend on something fast and relatively reliable.

Cheers!

If you're set on the STI, there's no competition here in Thailand.

If you ask me, for 3 mil I'd rather get a used E63 2011-2012 model. But "reliability" is subjective in this case, I wouldn't call any Subaru apart from the BRZ "reliable".

E63?  Merc-AMG or pre-2010 BMW 6 Series?  Not exactly comparable to an STI.

I think the consensus is that that ride was dodgy....

It looks like an imported half-cut that split at the welds...they must have been travelling at some speed.

Plenty of options for 3 million baht. Are you looking for new or used?

2018 C43 AMG Can try to bargain down to just over 3 million. Twin turbo V6 with awesome torque and comfort. With a stage one tune it will hit 400whp.

2018 Audi TT quattro can easily get for less than 3 million and again with a stage 3 kit will also hit about the same power.

Can get an older TT RS model with the 2.5 engine and get over 500hp out them for under 3 million. Very strong engine.

2017 BMW M2 is a bit out of your budget but with the 3.0 turbo is very strong.

These cars are in a different league to the WRX Ford and Honda.
