What documentation do I need to Re tax my Car for the annual sticker?

Featured Replies

Probably been asked before, but what is needed and where can I get the job done?  Thanks

If the car is less than seven years old:

Either take the car registration book (blue book) to the nearest DLT office and ask around for the appropriate counter window.

Or take the blue book to a car inspection shop. Those with the yellow cog wheel.
They will take care for a small fee.

If car is seven years or older you have to show up with the car and the bluebook at the inspection shop for annual inspection. Together with this they will usually offer to do the tax thing also.

Don't you have a complementary insurance?

The insurance agent/office will thankfully do the job also.

I guess someone will know about the 7/11 route which seems available too.

I don't. Wonder how you get the new sticker there?

If the car is less than 7 years old (less than 5 years if it's a motorbike):

You can buy the compulsary insurance and pay for the tax at a 7/11.

All you need is the blue book and a Thai person with Thai ID card (can be anybody).

You write your address on some piece of paper and the DLT will send you the new tax paper by mail.
