The Nissan LEAF, the world's best-selling EV, is now available in Thailand and almost 100 units have been sold. Read the full review at The Nation Thailand this weekend.

100 have already been sold. The owners are just waiting for somewhere to charge the battery once they leave home ????

Twice the price of anywhere else, a start but a long way to go

If they leave home every morning with a full charge, like you do with your cell phone, they can drive all over the city with no problems.

If they need to go farther, there are dozens of high power chargers around the city already, and more are on the way.

Even here in Hua Hin, the PEA office has CCS and CHAdeMO fast DC chargers, the Holiday Inn has CCS and there are quite a few Type 2 AC chargers around.

This "I can't find electricity" argument really has to die.

At 150v 200v 0r 250v  take  your  pick up and down like a yoyo in many places.

Just have to wait until there is a standard charging system like there is a standard gasoline filler nozzle. Otherwise charging point providers have to decide which one or have more than one?

Nissan is easy. Every dealer should have at least one minimum.

Next is to get the charging time down to a decent lunch? Stop for lunch and recharge.

Over 3 million baht? really? When is Trump going to have a trade war with Thailand to get them to lower their import duties? it's insanity.

Where did you get that price from?

According to the guy in the video, it's B1.99 million in Thailand.

Is the Nissan LEAF imported from the USA or is your post off topic?

1. Is there a map of EV charging stations available on the Internet?

2. Are all EV charging stations in Thailand on Google Maps?

Meanwhile in other countries the government will actually pay you to buy an EV, however here is the complete opposite, you have to pay a ridiculous amount of tax.

The MG ZS ev is much better value at 1.19 million baht. It was just released in the UK and as a result there are now a few english reviews online. General first impressions are quite positive for the price. In the UK the base model (after government subsidies) is only 825k baht!

Why would anyone pay 2 million. It's 3 x the price of say a Mazda 2. There may be some charging sites around but it must still be a worry if you travel anyway.
