Pattaya police rushed to a shop in Soi 27 Na Klua yesterday afternoon after a language teacher was stabbed in front of colleagues.

A man - identified as only "Rong" - arrived on a motorcycle and kicked in a locked window before stabbing Banthit Namwai, 44, in the chest several times. He then fled on the bike.

Pol Corp Thitipong Lengrabam found the victim with no pulse and having suffered much blood loss. He performed CPR at the scene but the victim died later in Bang Lamung Hospital.

The incident happened at "Ban Phasa Service" - that appears to be a tour and language center for English and German.

Witness Somporn, 48, said that Rong was a jealous wife beater who was convinced that his wife was having an affair with Banthit.

The wife is a restaurant worker, reported Thai Rath.

Pictures on the site of 77jowo showed Thais and foreigners showing an interest in the aftermath of the incident.

Both news sources said that police expect to make an arrest soon.

Another Thai manchild at work. Happens a dozen times a day in LOS. The old farang punter in the pic should be more concerned about the ladyboy on his right flank and maybe buying a new shirt

Why Thai people so often loose control?

The old farang punter in the pic should be more concerned about the ladyboy on his right flank and maybe buying a new shirt.

It won't happen.

Generally they appear incapable of controlling their own emotions. Perhaps it is the manner they are brought up and we all learn from example when children. Or whether this is due to lack of maturity or social development is possibly open to further research. Whatever it is there is certainly something wrong.

Thailand has suffered from not being colonized and civilized.

Apart from Burma (a long time ago), no one was interested...

Yes, correct. It's called emotional intelligence and it's what is called a communication skill, which are "soft skills." Emotional intelligence is about whether you can control your emotions/feelings or if they control you and many people are bereft of this skill (along with others in the same subset), hence the proliferation of angry hissy-fit hair-trigger episodes ... especially evident here with the local man-child types.

And they see it on Thai TV dramas daily. Sobbing, shouting and pathetic behaviour - that's what they grow up with.

So in old fashioned parlance then many Thai males are generally psychologically unstable ?

Possibly for exactly the same reasons that non-Thais world wide so often do.

It's called the "Small Dick Syndrome" it spread around Thailand in males some years ago, then we all thought it died down, but it does raise its ugly head every now and again, I don't think they will ever exterminate it ?

About mid fifties, prior to that pretty much adolescents.

You tell me I learn English in one hour.

As soon as I got far enough into the article to see the victim was a Thai man, I pretty much figured it was a likely case of jealousy/suspected infidelity run amok.... And sure enough, a couple paragraphs further down, my suspicion was proven correct...  Not a hard motivation to guess around these parts, when a Thai guy is brutally stabbed to death by a guy who kicks through a window.

Ill never understand angry stupid expats comments here, speaking so bad about Thailand and Thai people while living right there by own choice.  Im an expats and im ashame of reading stupid comments unfounded and unproved. There are people uncivilized, and losing control everywhere, even in your country, does that mean the whole population of your country have a low intelligence? I wish no Thai people read those stupid comments. No wonder farangs are not accepted here, thats because of your stupidity and arrogance toward the country and people who welcome you despite everything you can think

Never criticize people here. They are loosing their face and after that they are loosing their control.

If the guy is a wife beater and did indeed kill this man then hang him quickly.

msg and 7/11 food messes up the brain and gender bender... why you think so many ladyboys & toms ?

Is that the cousin of "short man syndrome"?
