Pattaya: Guide clobbers Indian tourist over the head with a chair

Police are looking for a guide of mixed Indian and Thai heritage after he hit an Indian over the head with a chair at a pub in North Pattaya this morning. 

 

The victim was 35 year old Anand Soni. He told Pattaya police that he is a tour operator who had brought 32 of his countrymen over from India to visit Thailand and Pattaya. 

 

He said he had hired the services of a guide who had mixed Thai and Indian parentage. 

 

Anand paid 5,000 baht to an Indian pub in the golf driving range soi for services rendered. After this the guide asked for 2,000 baht "tea money". Anand refused. 

 

The guide hit him over the head with a chair and fled the scene. 

 

Anand's customers took him to the hospital then the police.

But offered him some onion bhaji's left over from the flight from India .. 

Blimey services rendered to a Indian Pub in a golf driving range .. The mind boggles .. Putting , bunkers , holes in one .? I dunno give us a clue ..

From the story it sounds like he's the tour organizer and he hired local guides for the actual guiding part. Nothing illegal about that.

Did he shout "Fore!!" before he clobbered him?

How do you know, he might have a lot of high quality chairs!

I suspect the chair wielders version of events may be different somehow.

He seems to be the tour organizer/ travel agent in India (not restricted). That is why he hired a Thai guide to take them around.

Anand's customers took him to the hospital then the police. 

 

   Why did they bring the police to the hospital? Did they also get knocked out? ????

 

   Couldn't they bring all together to the hospital?

having seen the way Indian tourist behave, the cop should just hit this guy over the head with a chair again on general principals. 

Anyone seen the video of the Indian family caught in Bali after leaving their hotel villa...

they had literally stolen everything they could find in the room..even the hair dryer. ????

That's two Indian stories in two days after the soi 6 Ladyboy one yesterday.  Once the Indians stop coming, they might as well shut Pattaya; the police are doing their bit to discourage tourism.
