Look it really depends. I have seen my share of soul sucking women here. I have had everything from buy me a farm to I won't date you until you pay me something kind of girls. Now my wife wants to sell off her rice fields, buy a Condo near my parents house in farang land with the proceeds of her sale as she says we are in this together. I had a bad previous marriage and have all sorts of baggage as well, but sometimes there are just nice people in this world and maybe we are just a little too jaded around the edges from previous encounters. Actually, I do not think all men come here "Looking" for women and endless sex with girls. Many I know came here as an expat and then ended up meeting a woman and life just took its course. I know I did not come here for the women. I have worked here for a few different companies and enjoy the balance.

 

Being that was said, I know some that did come for the women and the cheap sex but when I talk to them now, they are not all that happy and they say that the novelty of that has worn off and they are quite tired of shagging uneducated peasants that have the maturity level of a 15 year old. I have met a few guys for beers and they had their "Girl" with them and I can't for the life of me understand how they can tolerate it. They have zero life skills, cannot hold a basic conversation, spend most of their time looking at their phones probably messaging their next hook up. 

 

But again, we are all different and have much different expectations.

1) I came here to escape women, boy was that a mistake!

2) Me too, but it took me ten years to reach this stage (and most of the ones I shagged were university students looking for help with their fees). My current gf dropped out of CMU after two years.

 

I understand there are lots of guys around with low testosterone levels.

I remember years ago meeting this really cute Uni Girl - she was in her last year doing Law and it took quite a while to get a date. I remember this date very well as she was drop dead beautiful and I could see other people looking at her all the time and I was interested in her. Problem was she had zero life skills and just let her beauty do the talking. After a hour of small talk I made an excuse to go as even though her English was good, she could not hold a conversation past give me the Chili Sauce and her mobile phone was attached to her hand.

 

As time went on, I had a rash of dates like this over like a six month period and it was me just hanging around women that had very little life experience (mostly around 23-24 years old's) and had a mindset like a child. Was not till I started dating women in there 30's (I am 50 now), did I find someone more along the line of someone I could communicate with with. Hardest part was finding someone single that did not have children. I have had so many dates with women that had children that they wanted me to support the child. I could not do it as I do not want children period in my life.

 

Really dating here is pretty simple but it is not simple if you put standards into what you want from a date.

Back in the states during my college years it was a free for all.  I get it.  But as I have always felt, sex gets boring even with different women.  It's all the same.  I was smart enough to know that no matter how good she was in bed that if that's all she had to offer I'd be bored in a few months.  Older and wiser now I prefer a balance. Sexy, smart, educated and the biggest challenge here is maturity.

Yep.  My wife ponied up a bunch of her money to build our house.  Again I think it's the women Britmantoo knows or hangs out with.  Of course young Uni girls dont have their own money, their parents do.  So they always want and expect the foreigner to pay for all.  ????

Yeh i find the older ones to be better, I lived with one isaan bar girl for a month when i was younger.

 

she was an full blown alcoholic like me so i used to try and help her with that , we never drank together which helped, not once as we recognized each others problem.

 

  She was a nice girl but any serious relationship with her would have turned toxic long term just because that's how the game works here in thailand.

Could not have said this better. If I say I come from Australia now, the smarter ones know the dollar is in the toilet and if I mentioned I was on a pension, I would not have much of a chance. Once being a foreigner had a advantage but not so much now. The internet has smarted things right up. The internet has just evened up the playing field alot in the girls favor by a long shot. Many of my female Thai friends are still single. But you will not see them on dating sites and not see them in the Nana area as well.

 

Some of them are also very shy. Even when they see a person they would like they never would approach them. I see many Thai woman still single none of them have children. Would you get a different reaction if you approached a middle/high class woman on the street in a western country? Do you really think an invite for a SangSom will win them over?
