How come The Republic of Serbia has a Royal Gazette?

Serbia was a Monarchy until the end of WW2, and a lot of young princelings still hope that one day they could return to Belgrade in their God-given right.

Why do the allegedly HiSo go into self exile when the common people simply go on the run?

Exike is generally used for political matters. If a common person is the subject of political persecution they will also be referred as being in exile.

The Thai authorities are have been quick to point out that corruption is a crime in Serbia as well as Thailand.

What they for some reason omitted to mention is that graft is as endemic in the Republic as it is here.

According to Wikipedia, a survey of Serbs who had contact with public institutions showed that nearly a quarter had paid a bribe at least once in the previous year.

The recipients were employees of public institutions - such as police, public health, educational system and civil courts - plus public services that issue official documents and departments responsible for social welfare.

Yingluck should feel perfectly at home. And, with money to burn, confident that she will be allowed to stay no matter what moves Thailand makes.

Doesn't Yingluck now live in London?

Never understood why Yingluck carried the can for all the Thai crooks who done the dirty deeds over the rice issue, she tried to help the farmers, but it was all the Thai crooks who abused it

Governments and countries have no friends. They have interests - like receiving lots of money.

From Wikipedia about Serbia: "The average annual air temperature [...] is 10.9 °C"   Enjoy!

This is not a story about citizenship, it's about getting a passport.  It's headlining the Thai news; because, in LOS no one has ever been accused of providing a passport/visa for money.  The only time she will see 10.9 degrees C (or less) is walking from her mansion to her limo on the way to her private jet booked for Dubai.

To extradite her back to Thailand & put her in jail would be the stupidist

move on behalf of the Government.

Not even the army would be able to quell the unrest

Let sleeping dogs sleep (in this case)

She was only a mouthpiece for her brother anyway

I hope the covered and enclosed walkway to the limo is heated to a bearable 22 deg cel.

Surely that was the whole point of letting her flee a couple of years ago?

How were they able to exit/enter the various countries once their Thai passports got revoked?  Can someone explain the logistics there?

for example, did they already have other passports?

I reckon they got a passport but won't make it public.

The Serbian stuff is just for their friend Prayut

These people are simply common criminals and parasites who take advantage of the poor.  They are blood suckers who take citizen's tax dollars and escape to other countries.  The solution:  Each government should have an assassin on retainer to hunt these people down and end them.

I wish her all the best, and her family.  Never had a problem with Yingluck. Hope she can return one day when Thailand are not under military rule.

And Yingluck nor her brother should never be granted citizenship of any country unless their backgrounds are thoroughly checked to see if they have been cleared of any political malfeasance.  Citizenship for any political figure should not be automatic.  Corruption should not be rewarded.

Citizenry ought not to be fooled by pretty faces.
