130 baht for three peoples including derinks...?

You be a - pulling moi leg squire.

We go out several time a week to eat here. I don't live in BKK or the likes. I live in Kamphaeng Phet 350km north of BKK. Prices here are Thai a lot less that tourist districts. Example a Large Leo is 65bt in a bar. And if they charge more than 35bht for a meal they wouldn't have any customers.

The price of a meal quoted was at a local restaurant? 2 Pad Krapow Moo (Spelling) with a fried egg, 35bht, 1 large chicken noodle soup 25bht, coke 10BHT and large water 10bht. Total as I said was 130BHT. The lady also gave us some Moo Grob for free. We couldn't eat it all as there was to much food. Took the leftovers home for the dog.

Agreed. I don't like the idea of the government knowing where and how I spend my money. I prefer to pay cash whenever possible. If they go to a cashless society, then like the internet, they can just

watch out for broken bottles and wild dogs... enjoy the air before the burning season...

Actually, the lake I walk around, Beung Kaen Nakhorn in Khon Kaen, must have over 100 stray dogs there every day, and they have never been a threat to either me, or other walkers/joggers as far as I am aware, in 5 years.

As for the burning season, as it is close to the city centre, and away from the crop fields, the air never bothers me, and when I go to the asthma clinic every 3 months, my spirometer reading improves every time. It is also kept clean on a daily basis, and I have never seen broken bottles lying around.

In a simiar environment in the UK, I would be in fear of moped gangs, knife gangs and smackheads.

I spend quite a bit of time in the past in KK and although I really like KK I can tell you that the hazardous 2.5 particle pollution is far in excess of world health standards for a minimum of 4 months most likely over 6 months of the year.  Start to monitor it online you will see.  And regarding the dogs it only takes one with rabies.  Thailand has a very bad dog problem.

I know, must be near 30 years back I had a boat I launched off Hastings on the UK south coast, the club told us we could not bring Cod ashore...The previous 20 years I did bring in the odd Cod or two, the area was never really a Cod hot spot but the authorities thought it was...

Interesting....... another person taking the 6/6 option.

Accommodation costs are the only issue for me doing that.... £600/750 p.m. for a 1 bed flat in my old locality. I suppose I could look elsewhere as I wouldn't want to return the UK lifestyle I previously had.
