Wife was panicking and about the call the pump man out, but the tune is coming from the bog.

I know exactly what I am going to about it but how does it manifest in the first place?

Is that coming from your ballcock?  My wife would be climbing the nearest coconut tree after screaming at me to FIX IT.

Water hammer. You may be able to quiet it by turning down the water pressure at the cock on the toilet feed.

Ashamed to say it was one of my diy jobs last week.(not at home)

I actually replaced the fill valve and ballcock due to a flood (long story)

 

I bought the cheapest crap of course. Realised when the float had no adjustment screw just a fixed cotterpin.

Then the float seemed to be too long for the cistern and was just scraping the sides.

In my efforts to weedle it in I sprained the plastic closer to the fill valve and new it wouldnt last long.

Will try again, this time spending 300bt instead of 140bt I think.

 

The sound is tremendous though in an enclosed bathroom.

Sounds like me on the toilet after accidentally eating  a couple of chile peppers from my wife's pad Krapow.
