Taxi to Utapao

Mr T does not service the Utapao airport & I need a taxi from BKK/Pattaya hospital to there. I live in Udon Thani so don't  know who reach out to-----anyone have a number of a Taxi that will.

Recently I started a thread about transport from (to) U-Tapao and was pointed to this:

It worked out well (5:30 AM). Price point to point from Pattaya to UTP was 599.

BUT: I have to mention that this is seemingly a "shady" business.

Or why would the driver be a Russian (?) lady and the car show an anti Prayut slogan in English and payment done shortly before arriving at the airport?

 

AND: most all taxi signs I saw show U-Tapao for the rip-off price of 800 to 1200 Baht depending on vehicle.

So I doubt you could not find a taxi aside from Mr T.

 

From U-Tapao to Pattaya I used another private transport by a Thai lady which I will not make public, 800 Baht,

Why did you "have" to mention.....but on the other hand keep completely schtum about the private transport by a Thai lady? Wouldn't that be "shady"?

Look up Ban Chang Taxi, as an example BKK to Ban Chang is 1450 bht and that includes toll, nice cars.

Air Asia minibus, or others, will collect you and take you to the airport for 250 Baht. Clean and well driven.

I thought the Air Asia minibus left from a fixed point; Central Festival.

Crane Travel, if they are still running, have a pick up service. Used to be 250 baht. 081-377-2778.

Up to people but that service did not even show up at Central when I booked it.

There are many Taxi advertising booths in town 800 to UTP.

That seems to be the standard advertised rate.

I emailed Dar (see #7 above) the link to this site and she replied - she charges 700 Pattaya - Utapao or return.

Thanks for your help...............I used the BanChang taxi service in the end, It was punctual 800 baht.

that's about what I paid 4 years ago the last time I went to Utapao.  I just grabbed a taxi on Soi Lengkee as I recall.  When I came back from Utapao, the taxis were trying to charge 1200 and I shook my head and they went lower.  Then while I pondered I saw a van outside that went to Pattaya.  I don't remember the price but it was a few hundred baht and a great deal.  No idea if the minivan is there or similar from Utapao back to Pats
