Good way of telling how accurate they have been. Lol

I remember when I was in the service training for NBRC specialist, the air force metrology school was next door.

They said that in the 70's forecasts were 75% accurate and you get 80% accuracy by saying that tomorrow is going to the same as today.

They keep forecasting it but it's still bone dry in Jomtien. The gardener is watering the condo lawns.

Bet the gardener watering the garden has a better affect the you all doing a rain dance.   Watered mine in Buriram on Friday morning.   Come 5pm the roads were rivers.

The forum made my mind up about whether to go full time to LOS or just be a frequent visitor as I am now , spending about 4/5 months a year there and doing different regions on different trips .

There is so much evidence that a lot of expats spend their time sweating  the small stuff and bickering that I can see the huge sign reading BORED OUT OF MY TREE... flying high.

Best of both worlds for me I think.

Have you read the thread called “what is your daily routine”?  That should scare plenty of people.

Just looked at Ventusky weather radar. Massive rain heading east over Yangon that should collect Chiang Mai after it passes.

And if you look right this instant 18:30 all has vanished. This is the tropics.

Is there some relationship between a high muslim demographic and rainfall?  True, many muslims live in arid lands (Egypt, Arabia, Iran, etc), but Indonesia also has plenty of both rain and muslims.

Look into history. Not exactly sure of the date but it seems a muslim prince married a local in one of the 'far east' countries and Islam spread from that point.
