Thailand Police corruption on foreigner long stay

Featured Replies

Hi fellow foreigners, be aware of immigration law "matra38", stated foreigner who enter thailand for long stay need to report their residency within 24hours of entering thailand, fell to report in result of fine 800bht ,or can be more punishment etc.

I just went to cheang wattana immigration yesterday to extend my NON-O spouse visa, and my wife(thai) have been fined for not reporting my residence when entering thailand, and this is most foreigner dont even know when this law started(which is begin may 2019). So, the story is, thailand police want to steal all foreigner 800bht for police pocket money. Imagine, thailand have 1 million foreigner, 1mx800bht=800million bht(easy money), the fine is stated by law 38, owner of the residence didnt report to police that they has ALIEN staying. Thanks to the former bangkok head police(now demoted to some jungle for corruption) introduce this shit law, but police force loving it, extra millions in pocket. Thailand police is always and forever <deleted>. Thailand police steal money from public and it will be always will.

Also, you have to spare 2 hours extra on que to pay the fine.
