Exiting Phuket Airport (Time Require)

Recommended Posts

Hi, anybody exit Phuket International Airport recently? As due to the recent lack of staff in counter and long queues probably due to the fingerprint machine. How long is the queue for the departure line? Do i need to buy fast track service if i don't want to wait too long in the queue?

For us recently it was about 10 minutes, if that.

Just you luck. Depends on volume of pax and number of competent officers. In the past we almost missed our flight as 40 minute queue. Other times 5 or 10 minutes.

Yes, true. But the OP is asking for experiences, so all I can do is give my experience.

Good remark, there was none on exiting, only on entrance.

End last month there was a fingerscanner at my counter(FTL) but the IO had no mood to use it he told me lol.

When came back last week had to do the scan.

Waiting time normal lines about 15 min and fast track done in 30 sec about 7pm.

Actually, dumb remark - I didn't know there was such a machine on arrival or departure .

(It's been a long time since I've flown.)

To be honest I never experienced finger print scan in Thailand. But in Singapore only on arrival. Why would they scan on exit ?

If in the system it would make sense to scan on exit. Double check, verify etc.

But agree, it doesn't help to keep the bad people out.
