August 22, 20196 yr Hi, I live in a condo building with awful in house WiFi reception. Jomtien . I’ve asked about getting something better but the office says it won’t make a difference as the reception is iffy .( it’s B ...). I’m in France at the moment and have seen these above mentioned devices which apparently give you WiFi wherever in the world . You just have to get a local ( Thai) SIM card . I have Dtac. Question, will this work in Thailand, and which sim would be the Best Buy ? These devices differ in prices, from 60$ up for a world sim device ex: ZTE MF921V 4G mobile hotspot. Thank you for any info . Ps I’m not very good at understanding all this .
August 22, 20196 yr My friend got a package from True that included the SIM, the WiFi device, and a data package. I believe he was paying 499THB per month (about $16). He was happy with it, but it was not the best for watching streaming video (like Netflix) - it worked, but had occasional pauses for stream caching.
August 22, 20196 yr You will have to check the reception of all SIM networks, to determine which gives the best reception. If you've had your existing DTAC SIM prior to the 1st of March 2019, then you are eligible for unlimited data packages. Don't buy a MiFi if you cannot research the exact specification and if you are not sure if it is unlocked to all networks. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/huawei-e5573-322-bolt-4g-mobile-mifi-dongle-lte-wifi-router-pocket-wifi-aisdtactrue-unlocked-e5573-i336186628-s651110487.html covers the likely frequencies for 1200 baht(US$39) You can pick one up on eBay if you want to get up and running as soon as you arrive; https://www.ebay.fr/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=MiFi&_sacat=0 Examples; https://www.ebay.fr/itm/New-Huawei-E5776s-32-4G-3G-Mobile-LTE-WIFI-MiFi-Hotspot-150-Mbit-s-Unlock/312619510905 https://www.ebay.fr/itm/HUAWEI-E5776-UNLOCKED-BLACK-LTE-4G-3G-Mobile-MIFI-WIFI-Wireless-Modem-SimFree/293192874520
August 22, 20196 yr Author Sorry to be so thick, but will the devices work even tho the in-house 3BB signal is so bad ? This is what the office told me.

Both the device and the allowance are.....below par. http://www3.truecorp.co.th/truemoveh/product/detail/3208/4G_pocket_WiFi?ln=en
