Did some DIY spray painting

Decided to touch up a couple areas on a cheap runabout that I bought last month. It has been neglected a bit and left in the sun for a long time. Anyway, Lazada to the rescue and got a kit for 680 baht which included colour matched paint, clear coat, different grades of sand paper plus tape.

I must say it was very therapeutic and I give myself 6/10 for a first effort ????????

So, if you have any small jobs that the shops won't touch or want to charge stupid money, don't be scared to have a go yourself....

Yes, plus along the edge of the passenger door and a spot on front of the car.

Why, do you consider that too much ??

Garage down the road wanted 1500 just to do along the passenger door  !!

It was 680 baht well spent as it was a while days entertainment for me too and the satisfaction was priceless...

Ok. As I said, I was confused with your pictures in post #1.

Before I owned it It had been in a "prang"  and they hammered it back into the kind of shape  then slavered tons of "bondo" on  and got it looking rather nice with new paint...unfortunately the "bondo"  isn't bonding very well to the metal and comes off in big patches..the above photo was my first(ish) attempt it didn't look too bad until I put a clear coat on which even though was the same brand name/manufacturer as the colour coat caused a strange reaction and after a few weeks went all crinkly...

the bondo  debonding  has spread to the whole left side of the car now..I keep spraying it to keep the rust at bay and may have it "professionally" resprayed eventually  or just get another car...I notice a lot of Thais don't bother to patch the paint and just go for the natural rusty look.

Have you got a link to that lazada package? I am half-way through refurbishing a rim that clipped a high kerbstone. I am after some clear coat but also need some stripper as well to remove the original clear coat.

I used this clear coat but my wife went direct to the company who then supplied a package deal.. Arrived next day

It was 2k by PB Shop, you can Google them but have to contact via Facebook messenger !!

You have made an excellent job of that Carlos. They key is in the preparation, then not trying to get too much paint on at once.
