Just wondering Gents, if I should take the bike in to be de-greased... especially the chain?  Any experiences with these services?

Yes, all the time.

I just don't like it when they put the tyre shiner stuff on the seat.

Or, they actually put it on your tires ????

 

I use motorbike cleaners, never a car wash for my bikes.

No.

Don't like m/c wash services either.

Nor do i like pressure washers.

Good old elbow grease and DIY.

It'd break her heart if I didn't let her wash it.

 

I've never had a problem. I make sure I point out the bits like the chain not to point the pressure washer directly at.

i just do it myself now, takes 5-10 minutes max.

I'm not sure I'd bother with degreasing the chain
