You take the news reporting too seriously... They did not know if the guy was dead. They didn't know if the girl was in critical condition or not. Perhaps this with the pregnancy is just more fake news to make the story more interesting. I think they simply write about their personal assumptions and not about facts. This is story telling and not news reporting. 

One question, has any truth been reported regarding this fiasco ???
