For my spouse and me, our PHEV was, indeed, a 'gateway drug'--and I suspect for many, as well, who are hesitant to go full-electric. When we bought, our Bangkok getaway condo (we live in Pattaya) did not have any charging available. We had range anxiety and selected PHEV over full electric. For our normal, everyday driving around town needs, our Sealion 6 does great and we almost never need to fill the gas tank. We mostly only top up after a trip to Bangkok. Now that we have owned our PHEV for over a year, gotten our toes wet, we know our next car will definitely be all electric. The mystery to me is people still buying ICE vehicles.
