Snake Farm.

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me the nearest BTS or MRT to go to the snake farm?

Also, I see it is less than a Kilo to get there, how much should I pay for a motorbike taxi

for the BTS or MRT?

The snake farm?  Is that a new Bangkok red-light district?  ????

what type of snake are you looking for ….  ?    :w00t:

I'll tell you if you answer my question.

BTS Sala Daeng or MRT Silom.  I would guess 40 baht on a motorbike.  Or perhaps a 5-7 minute walk.

It is really good if you are there for the show:  2.30pm on weekdays or 11am on weekends.  Very professional, very informative.

Years ago I went to a snake farm on the way back from the floating market. I wasn't impressed at all with the 'snake show'. I've owned many pet snakes throughout my life and know they require quality care and handling just like any other pet. The snake handlers at the show were constantly smacking the snakes on the head and throwing them around to get a rise out of the crowd and to get the snakes to perform. Other shows might be more professional, but the one I saw was pretty sad.

Your experience wasn't at the Snake Farm which is part of the Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute.

Evidently not.  I have been to some of those awful snake shows and swore off them, but the Queen Saovadha (Red Cross) one is really genuinely impressive.
