Lazinonthebeach Posted November 10, 2019 Posted November 10, 2019 Coming back to my Samui home after several months away. Anyone know the current situation on dengue or chikungunya on the island?
hoxman Posted November 11, 2019 Posted November 11, 2019 As throughout Thailand and SE Asia both diseases are here. Had one friend with Chikungunya a month or so, best advise is to wear repellent and to practice mosquito safety. 1
Tropicalevo Posted November 11, 2019 Posted November 11, 2019 We had a few cases of chikungunya up here in Plai Laem last month. Nothing recently though. Not heard of any dengue here but it is widespread throughout Thailand at the moment. Wear light colours and repellents.

Everything I heard is that Chikungunya is up in the Plai Laem area.
