Does anyone know the AIS "SMS Center Number"?

Featured Replies

Hi, I bought a pocket wifi and it looks like maybe I can receive text messages with it, but it wants something called an "SMS Center Number."   See below image:

When I google variants of "AIS sms center number" I just get 1175 over and over, which is their call center.  Does anyone have the magic number that might enable my device to get text messages?  This would be a very nice feature given the need to have a Thai SIM to do internet banking....

Thanks!

Oops, you're right - I thought it looked too short.

There is probably something lost in the translation, but the Center number is possibly the number you want the sms sent too.

No, it's the message centre number that has to be configured in the settings of the device before you can send and receive any SMS messages. On regular phones, this is automatically configured for you, the network sends the configuration settings to your phone and it essentially configures itself.

On a pocket wifi device such as the one being discussed here, you have to enter the number manually.
