Important: stay optimistic and never stop dreaming ....
But let's say that if you don't improve a lot of things, everything will really be just a dream!
In Germany they have a good saying: Traeume sind schaeume = Dreams are foams!

.....and this time next year we'll be millionaires!

Sounds like Pattaya Mayor's dept. got a call from someone much higher in authority...now I wonder who that could be?

Word for today - Credibility. The quality of being trusted and believed in.

I remember going to the Greek islands on holiday 40 years ago, and even then it was much better organised than Thailand is now. I visited Corfu less than ten years ago and it was the equal of any resort island in Europe, clean and well operated. And this from a country with a terrible economy!

Thailand has a long way to go in the hospitality stakes before it can equal European resorts. It used to have cheap prices and relaxed atmosphere going for it, but that has disappeared with the rising baht.

And the photo is showing many "rats of the sky" as well

I was lost for words to describe the endless official drivel....

but a few came back to me

What a load of boll@cks !

Has he actually BEEN to Pattaya beach ? If so, I hope he leads by example and takes a daily swim.

Eww, that's disgusting :crying:

"millions are expected in the city next year and they will be spending billions"

Surly a typo he must mean Next Life.

Yesterday we had to drive down beach road ,a nightmare due to roadworks etc ,but it gave me a chance to look at the beach ,which was easy ,there was nobody on it , actually apart from people erecting stands ,workers and people in cars ,there was hardly anyone walking at all.

With an overpriced Baht—well, how many Chinese to a bus?  X times 50 buses, I would reckon...

I am expecting to win in the lottery ????

Pick a number any number and double it day and everyday until they stop flying by????

Maybe the mayor is referring to the “millions & billions” of pigeons on the beach.

Everywhere had been cleaned up and readied for the masses - and safety for all was guaranteed.

Try telling that to the dead farang currently lying prostrate on Sukhumvit Road.

Sometimes, just sometimes, some of these people need to keep quiet, and give their A@#$ a chance to speak.

probably talk more sense.
