Featured Replies

Bangkok bank’s website say 7 and 9 month deposit accounts only available for Thais but for farang only 4 months deposit account available. Is it true or is there something I missed ? I want to open Fixed deposit account 9 months. Cannot I do this with Bangkok bank ?

Ask them about 6 mo. and then 3 mo. I have the former, and think I would have no trouble getting the latter too.

Today I opened 9 months deposit account. 4 and 7 months was available too.  Rate was 1,375 and if 12 months, rate was 1,50.

So does that mean that non-Thai can also open FD at 9 months?

Absolutely Yes. I also didn’t understand but didn’t mention what I read at their website. This is thailand.
