jvs
I guess the title says it all,is your life changing because of the Corona virus? If so what are you doing different? We never go out a lot and so far it has not affected us at all. Lots of info on the web some people saying the end is near and others saying it will all blow over. Ideas?Opinions? 1
Popular Post brewsterbudgen
No. I wear a PM2.5 mask because of the horrible air. Washing hands etc is just a sensible precaution against flu and other viruses and good hygiene! 4 1
Popular Post JHolmesJr
Avoiding crowded spaces....very aware of and not touching face, eyes, mouth when out and about. Carrying alcohol spray which is used frequently after touching common surfaces. Not eating food prepared outside. Carry N95 mask only for use if necessary. 7
Popular Post Jingthing
Yes, I'm staying in a lot more. Getting food delivery a lot more. Going on public transport (Pattaya baht buses) a lot less. Venturing out for shopping but try to limit less busy timers of day. Washing hands more and longer. Have yet to find masks in stock anywhere but I think I can get them online so assuming I can I will wear the flimsy surgical mask type on baht buses. I don't intend to bother with N95 masks because I think those are really for people working with infected people and also I doubt I would be using it correctly. 2
Popular Post Jane Dough
Yes, I am going out much more and enjoying the fact everywhere is so deserted. Just had a great weekend biking to Khon Kaen from Bangkok to play Scrabble. Central Khon Kaen is wonderful and everyone was so kind and lovely. There were a couple of thousand Scrabble players there who seemed to be getting out too. Thanks for asking, Rooster 9

Popular Post mike787
Nope! I just do the same as with thai girls - go bareback and enjoy. Virus only kills you if your old or weak immune system, otherwise it's a flu shot - basically. If it doesn't kill you, thailand's roads will. 1 1

You are quite right, keep it up and keep fit and if either or both of you get into a coughing fit just enjoy the extra workout! Popular Post CNXexpat
I wear a mask when I go outside. But the air is so bad that I also wear a mask without the virus. 3
Popular Post Beggar
I avoid crowded places. I go shopping to the mall in the morning immediately after they open and use inside the mall a N95 mask. Washing hands often and not shaking hands I do anyway even without Corona. I had a very severe lung infection already when I was much younger. I don't want to repeat this experience and now it might be a very different story anyway because of my age.
Popular Post bkk6060
Yes. I changed seats on a plane the other day Chinese behind me coughing no mask. I also find myself avoiding anyone who is coughing or sneezing. Difficult and I notice it more as it seems half the people in this country constantly show some type of symptoms or behavior. Coughing, sneezing, picking their nose.

Now I am advising her its not safe to go to shopping malls/gold shops because of the virus. she doesn't appreciate how much I care for her. 1 2
ben2talk
We went to eat sushi, my wife wearing her mask also insisting my son wore his. He poked her sushi and she ate it - I told her that even with fifty masks on, if you touch a door and then poke your food you just instantly put the virus/bacteria from any of the last few dozen people who came out of the same toilet that you did. 2

Popular Post 4MyEgo
Apart from wearing an N95 mask if we have to go shopping (stocked up already), so less shopping as possible, I have change my drink from a Tiger light to Corona's, as I am told that the more Corona's I drink, the more my immune system will become immune to the Coronavirus. 1

Popular Post uhuh
I like NCC1701's precautions. I am less stringent, though. Started to avoid BTS. Will not use it anymore in about 3 weeks time (Thailand is now where China was Jan 1st). When using rabbit card at the turnstyle don't let it touch the sensor. Avoid Chinese people. Don't go to terminal 21 anymore, don't go to Yaowarat, if i see or hear Chinese people i go some steps away from them. That's not always easy because they have no sense of personal space and are "sticky". Avoid crowded places. Avoid Starbucks. Stocked up on N95 before because of pm2.5, now stocked up on alcohol, alcohol gel and gloves. Will start wearing gloves whenever going out in about 3 weeks time. Will buy more dettol to desinfect gloves. Wash and desinfect hands when i come home. Desinfect hands in public places wherever i see a dispenser. Carry alcohol gel at all times. Lecture a lot of inadequately educated people about basic hygiene. Warn them against BTS. Equipped several inadequately educated people who i care for with N95 and gel. Monitor usage. Follow the situation in Wuhan and in China, as well as in Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong closely - the former in order to know how bad things might get in a worst case scenario, the latter in order to know what's the best case and whether i might relocate there. 1 1
ChaiyaTH
I am not worried at all and just live life as usual. I do have back-up water and food but that stands aside of this virus, enough for a few weeks / 2 months extreme. As well charcoal, 5L gasoline, wood to burn, 300W solar panel + inverter + batteries, medical kit, medicine, 10 camping refill cans of cooking gas, flash light + 4 batteries. Most food can last without being in the freezer or fridge. Sounds like a lot but was actually very inexpensive via Lazada. Actually more concerned over water shortages, do also have a 1000L tank for shower etc though + 2 life straws (filtering dirty water to drinkable). Having herbs in the garden helps too, rice, beans and tuna is easy to stock and gets one a long way too. I do realise while writing my alcohol stock needs to be updated. If that is not enough I am likely to die anyway. Edited February 3, 2020 by ChaiyaTH
wtfracing
No change in daily life except an extra cup of coffee per day but the wife stopped ordering stuff from Lazarda that delivers out of China so that's a bonus.
