Thai media reported that Pattaya has been thoroughly disinfected.

The move was made by the authorities to inspire confidence among tourists that the resort was clean and Covid-19 free.

Deputy mayor Manote Nong Yai was in Walking Street for the photo shoot along with staff from the Yak Yai Supply Co Ltd who utilized the "AIROFOG U260" machine that is also used at U-Tapao airport.

A great swathe of Pattaya was sprayed with disinfectant from Walking Street through to the Bali Hai port.

77kaoded said this was done to inspire confidence among tourists.

Looks like a discount sprayer from lazada via china. I wonder how much was paid for this wonder machine?

The street in the background definitely inspires confidence.

I mean - just one look and you're absolutely sure that no virus would ever take hold in such an orderly environment.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but what tourists? Maybe they hadn't noticed that the overwhelming majority of them have gone.

Will someone please give those guys there an honorary MD certificate for single handedly eradicating the resort from the pesky virus, now if only could Thailand sell this "cure" to world and peace will descend upon us all...

I did not think that a large part of this city of more than 1 million inhabitants was located on Walking Street to the port ...

Could I have been lied to?

It reminds me that the city police did not find any kind of prostitution in the same city a few weeks ago.

This is a place where one struggles to find a clean hand towel and toilet.

I will believe it when I see them eating off the pavement!

Kudos to the mayor to send his deputy instead of humiliating himself.

Can't have that, some of us like the thrill of the Russian Roulette style of picking one of the girls, does she, does she not, so far so good, I know, I know, sooner or later, I know ????

Could well be the understatement of the day, though not betting on it!

Pattaya area is ~20.6 sq.ml, they have sprayed one street, will they be doing the rest later? only another 20.9999999999 sg.ml left to disinfect ????

That's a bit like the Soi 6 girls taking a shower to protect themselves from HIV.

That will take at least 10 years.
