PHUKET: Vachira Phuket Hospital Director Dr Chalermpong Sukontapol yesterday (Mar 3) took reporters on a tour of the facilities at the hospital in response to a formal complaint accusing the hospital director of not taking appropriate measures to counter the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

The complaint was filed by two doctors, including one who works at the hospital.

Dr Chalermpong yesterday explained that the complaint was reported by the Thai-language Facebook page “The Reporters” on Monday.

note the grubby hand prints on the door frame above the handle... hasn't been properly cleaned in months, if ever. worse still this is the freakin isolation unit where suspected infected are kept ... AND this knob is walking around showing this off as a shinning example of how well prepared they are.

Where are his gloves? Is this man a hospital director?

That isolation room is only a closed door consulting room for other doctors to use.

The facility for isolation is totally inadequate in my view.

The doctors are right to sue the hospital director for not taking adequate precautions.

I wonder how many negative pressure (proper isolation) rooms they have?

Ah, reporters are experts in appropriate measures to prevent the spread of the corona virus...

If you want to get covid 19 go to the airport or the hospital not a lot of difference.

No, forum members like @lupin, @Inepto Cracy and @ukrules are the true experts here.

Actually, "reporters" are expert at alerting us to the shortcomings we should be aware of.

And FB users are expert at alerting us to the shortcomings that the "reporters" didn't see fit to tell us about.

You could try licking the handrails, but I really can't understand why you would want to get the virus!

They struggle to deal with reality in Phuket, he wouldn't answer questions on whether there are any cases of Covid 19 in Phuket. Why would he the mafia bosses would not be happy with that.

Like the senior officials that keep downplaying the water crisis on the island.

The computer is an incredible tool that allows the most intricate search of any subject/topic authored by the highest order of expert in just about any field. Facebook is not on my list of avenues to learn ... anything :cowboy:

Yeah, and there's a ton of people on here with nothing else to do except lend their expertise, gleaned from The National Enquirer too. Experts to a man. Wasted resource.

haha, all 'reporters' here seem to do is follow up on stuff that's been posted on facebook or print the nonsense that politicians spew, no questions asked. when did you ever hear of any true investigative reporting being done by the thai media?

Wasn't speaking of any Thai media. My sources of news are much more expansive than this lot :cowboy:
