Have just tried 6 different ATMs in pattaya and all say comm error. Is this all over ?

Maybe trying to stop a run on the banks

Or maybe just a problem with your card.   If your card has been blocked, like if it's a foreign card, you can get the same error message which implies it a communication error but really it's your foreign bank disapproving the transaction.

Or, it can be simply a comm error as the message implies in a "selected area."   It's kinda like how the internet can go down in selected errors.

I would also recommend if those 6 different ATMs were the same bank or maybe two different banks is to try ATMs owned by other banks....even banks you have never used.  It may end-up costing your around a Bt20 extra charge to use another bank ATMs, but maybe some other banks are not have comm problems in your area.

Bangkok Bank online is S-L-O-W from my PC although it does seem to be working, phone app just times out.

SCB appears to be working fine.

Hopefully a temporary glitch.

Yea, I just logged onto Bangkok Bank mbanking on 25 Mar at 9:45am but it took a good 30 seconds after entering my PIN before my acct screen appeared....normally the accts screen appears a second or two later.  But once into my accts screen when I tried a Bt100 transfer between two of my Bangkok Bank accts the connection timed out....got a error msg saying there was a connection problem....try later.

Yeap...must be some type of internal comm problem....maybe overloaded with mbanking/ibanking/ATM connections.

Online transfers currently not functional also!

I just transferred 150,000 Baht from My SCB Account to my KBank account no problems.  Then I had my monthly USD transfer land in my KBank account from my US Chase Bank account, that I wired last night, it came quickly....
