Pattaya Lockdown was brief

After causing hours of traffic mayhem, the checkpoints in and out of Pattaya slid quietly into the night late yesterday evening. They had absolutely miscalculated how many people who live on one side, work on the other and couldn't begin to cope. We must now wait with baited breath to see what brilliance they come up with to deal with this setback.

They were removed and you could just drive in as normal?

What time did that start to happen?

Either late last night or very early this morning. Saw some short vids of the barricades being taken down and it was quite dark at the time.

Yes it was done early in the morning

Methinks the authorities might be hoping there are hundreds of busloads of tourists lined up waiting for the green light to enter..........:clap2:

They will immediately announce an alcohol ban. This is the go to solution to problem solving in Thailand

If they take advice from the NZ government they'll just ban anyone from driving unless in an "essential" occupation, and they'll be deciding what is essential.
