Only if they use the time gained to get their testing and tracking network up and running. Not happening in Thailand, so no, not worth it. All they are doing is delaying the same response.

Not all staff is qualified to work with COVID-19 patients and not all wards are suitable for treating them.

Given I ignore almost everything about celebrities that would explain why I missed the panic. I do recall it was on the news, but like most in my zone it was just another news item about things that didn't concern us.

That doesn't make sense. Hospitals didn't take booked cases so they could fill the wards with Corona patients- the patients that didn't arrive. Nurses work with sick people PERIOD.

When you posted that we were in level 3, except it's a Claytons level three- in reality level 4 with KFC ( drive through only ). Still can't do loads of things.

What they have done is prevent people catching it, but the virus isn't going away and will still be waiting for every infectable person once things get back to some semblance of normality. The virus has not been "beaten" it's just unable to do much during lockdown. It will never be "beaten" any more than flu or the common cold are "beaten". We'll have to learn to live with it, just like the flu.

What we may not be able to live with very well, will be the devastated economy.

It's partly their choice to be afraid.

If one looks the news on the tv, cannot expect anything else but a very manipulated version of "truth".

Nonetheless, even a calm, relaxed person can be influenced by the negative feelings of the majority of people.

All rather sad if you ask me.
