Hopefully (Strict 3.) means 'across' and not 'into' else there will be no golf for MrsJ as the course is in the adjacent province...

Reported on CCSA English Briefing earlier today

So a Starbucks located inside of a mall cannot open but if it’s located outside of a mall it can open?

I just went to Rimping at Maya and there was a new sign posted which said the mall was closed until May 15.  Could this mean the entire mall will reopen on May 16?

I guess we will just have to wait and see.

One needs to understand... its not about the reason of the order... its about avoiding / getting around it...  like 5 on a bike without helmets but the driver has a face mask on!  so its all good..

making orders... hes done his job... not his fault nobodys listens.. he gets paid.. no concern about the bigger picture...

No 3 a total farce. It was reported earlier today that 1 million have left Bangkok over this long weekend. The interior ministry has ordered, ordered no less, that people returning to their provinces be kept in quarantine for 14 days and that local authorities ensure that they are self isolating.  Sometimes you really wonder about the fantasy land that people who issue such orders are living in

From April 3 you are not allowed to travel between provinces unless it's essential and you need a document showing the necessity. Depending on what province you're travelling to, you might have to report to the authorities where you're coming from, and when you get back home, you might have to self isolate for 14 days. This will happen to loads of people especially from BKK.

And who is going to check that is what you are doing?

Actually our Puu Yai still has the road block into the village. But the village is not very big.

I watched today's CCSA briefing in English and the spokesperson answered a question as to whether condominium pools fall under the public sports facilities that are allowed to reopen.  He stated that condominium pools are not considered to be public facilities  so are not included in the list of public sports facilities allowed to be open.  However, he unfortunately did not say what category condominium pools would fall under and did not say whether condominium pools could or could not re-open or even who has jurisdiction.  So, it was a maddeningly unclear answer.  Has anybody heard anything else regarding condo pools?   My 2 condo project pools are still closed--Bangkok and Pattaya.  Thanks!

I added this information to Thai Visa forum this past Saturday and yet to see it on the forum. "The Jurristic person/manager of our condo complex (less than 100 units) called Pattaya City hall and asked if we could open the pool area for swimming and sunbathing. Their reply was that it was against the law for both swimming and sunbathing and that the manager should report anyone using it to the police. It was my understanding that we have a "private pool", one with restricted access and not a public pool which is open to anyone. Is anyone familiar with the law that restricts swimming pool usage? I have a friend at a similar size complex and he states that residents can use their pool "at their own risk." At our pool maybe 2 or 3 people used it on a daily basis, if that and never more than 4 or 5 since most of the owners or residents are from other provinces or stuck away in their respective foreign countries. At this time, we have about 30 to 40 percent daily occupancy."

I too would like some specific information about the law governing condo pools. Closure of these private pools is limiting the exercise options for people who are abiding the spirit of the pandemic by staying at home in their condo complexes. The government should encourage these types of exercise options and not be unclear when asked a direct question. I'm happy to abide by a restriction if it is truly a law.
