Makes sense. Humiliation and physical torture are part of the military's method for "breaking" new recruits, as anyone who has done National Service knows.

 

Now, more than half a century later, those same tried and tested techniques are being used by the political class and their enforcers to inflict a new, more controlled and restricted, way of life upon us all.

 

We have been coerced into what they are already calling a "new normal" of curfews, social distancing, self-isolation, travel restrictions and lockdowns. This is all essential, we are told, to defeat the pandemic.

 

So be it. But, when the virus has gone we must insist on the the same right as the squaddies of my youth to "demob" and a return to the old normal we loved so much.

Wear your masks, as it will hide the vodka on your breath.  Thailand train of thought,

you know you may infect a family member if you do not have your mask on, when you are driving them around to get supplies.   But do not drink any alcohol  as that would be very very bad.  What a country.

I only put my mask on when I park up the bike or get out the car, I think that’s acceptable.

Wearing mask while on bike or in car is beyond stupid. Even walking streets, u got more chances to get struck by lighting. On top of that they get wet humid, fungus and bacterias grows in it then u breathing it in. Doctors have to change masks every 30min when operating. I offten see single people in the middle of nowhere wearing mask, its a sad picture.

Many unfit farangs living in Thailand, could be a good idea this, 50 pushups instead of a fine. Free exercise.

... wearing a mask in your car and while riding a motorcycle is a requirement now?  Thai Logic, it is ok to put the mask on your motorcycle or car headlights...
