What I find a bit weird is the 1 pot per 1 person suki

I think it should be one family member allowed to eat... then I’d go first eat and go,... the rest of the family in their own..555

Other countries start on Monday.

According to ISO 8501, used by the majority of the world, Monday is the first day of the week. This is the international standard.

However, several countries including the US and Canada, still consider Sunday as the start of the week.

I hope this includes non life threatening procedures, such as biopsy's at some of the  clinics that specialize in dermatology!  It seems  they closed down with signs on their door ,Closed for covid!

Sorry you are wrong.. see below article from government today.

_____________________________________________________________________________

At a press conference in Bangkok today held by the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration, the English language spokesman for the CCSA, Mr. Natapanu Nopakun, specifically said that condo and public pools would remain closed.

The statement, which can be found at about 11 minutes and 40 seconds below, states that at this time the Public Health Ministry and CCSA will keep pools closed.

The reasoning given is due to health related concerns and inability to limit number of people at condominium pools.

Chonburi area officials with the Chonburi Communicable Disease Committee have previously addressed pools also, stating that they were concerned people would use them, including condo pools, as a gathering location to socialize, drink and eat around pools versus pure exercise. Under the current Emergency Decree laws to control the potential spread of the Covid-19 Coronavirus, gatherings for the purpose of socializing, especially over drinks, is forbidden.

As a result at this time the CCSA confirmed today that pools will be not be approved to be lifted in the next phase, Sunday May 17th, and will stay closed at least until the end of May and the third phase, expected to start in June, based on the severity of the Covid-19 Coronavirus situation in Thailand.

The CCSA's reasons for not opening pools because they are considered social gathering places can easily be regulated by the condo management; for starters we do not allow eating, drinking or smoking around our pool under normal circumstances. The eating/drinking areas that are normally available can remain closed. Sledgehammer/nut.

A bed in IKEA store , oh come on.

Maybe take the bed home first. IKEA has some good deals now on bedding and other stuff and has finally stopped, if temporarily, the exorbitant delivery fees to the provinces.

True, the twists and turns to get in some kind of bash are astonishing. Many, of course, draw on ignorance and provincialism, as in this case.

According to international standard ISO 8601, Monday is the first day of the week. It is followed by Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Sunday is the 7th and last day of the week.

That same site, at the top of the page says this below.  Ergo, why don't writers and governments just say what day or date they mean instead of the confusing "beginning/end of the week"?

"Monday is the first day of the week according to the international standard ISO 8601, but in the US, Canada, and Japan, it's counted as the second day of the week."

Vastly overestimate the urbanity & intelligence of the readers here, don't they? True, they really should dumb down these articles to prevent readers from embarrassing themselves, unknowingly. Similar confusion arises when the time of 12 o'clock is given even when referring to a daytime event. ????

Where in the world is a Sunday the start of the week? Have you ever heard about Mondays?

How can they open markets in BKK with thousands of people shoulder to shoulder and larger restaurants but not allow cinemas to open?

So, is this happening or not? And, when? I can't find anything on it including at the publication that can't be quoted or linked.

What about having a mall-on-the-beach? Come on, Central, I'm sure you could get this through! Can you imagine the return you would get on that one, with all beaches normally closed for the vulgum?

Don't start, hmm, otherwise they might start to realize a thing or two (about their own dysfunctionality), and could feel the need to close all air-conditioned places they are just re-opening, even including the public transportation, airplanes and all... Hush, hush!

Maybe just in all Thai calendars as used by most of the local population where weeks indeed start on Sundays?

This is quite stupid. For example, why would 2 hours be safe, but 2.5 hours be a risk?

Thai logic?

For our posters? Yes, please. Fitness centers are OBVIOUSLY riskier than shopping malls where people aren't exuding & sharing sweat on the machines & weights and breathing hard in close proximity to each other. I speak as a member of a gym I also miss.

Gyms can be the safest thing if done properly:

  • Machines should be placed at appropriate distances from each other.
  • It should be mandatory to wipe down machines after use.
  • Gloves and masks mandatory for all.
  • Temperature checks before entry

I can bet you a few buffaloes that with those restrictions gyms are a much safer place than spas, restaurants, malls, and supermarkets.

The answer to why they don't open is probably that "Mr Kim Gym" next door doesn't have the lobbying power that Siam Paragon has.

It is about as insane as limiting the size of a family at one table. There is an astonishing amount of ignorance floating around, at this stage. You can stay together in the same home, but you cannot eat together at the same table? Who is making these rules? I am astonished they never got rid of Anatin. To have such an uneducated man (in the field of health) running the health ministry during a crisis was an abomination.

who, just is GOING TO ENFORCE such a ruling of not eating whilst all at same table????
