Kanchanaburi province has opened rafting for tourism, except rafts operated as an entertainment venue, by strictly following disease prevention measures as specified by the government.

Sale and consumption of all types of alcoholic beverages on a raft or nearby areas are strictly prohibited.

Governor Jirakiat Phumsawat issued the relaxation order approved by the provincial communicable disease committee on Saturday (May 23).

Anyone violating or not complying shall be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or a fine not exceeding Bt100,000 or both. The Kanchanaburi Communicable Disease Committee can suspend or withdraw the relaxation for an establishment found to be not cooperating.

Unless your a local , after 14 days in isolation in your hotel a Raft trip would be great.

correct, after changing location and doing their 14 days quarantine i'm sure they'll have a great time rafting, and then return home and do another 14 days quarantine to make sure they haven't returned infected. sounds like a blast.

Nothing wrong with banning alcohol (on) rafts. No need have drunken people on rafts (bit dangerous). But should be allowed when not on the raft and done rafting.

Again depends a bit on the raft  (size) and if its piloted by a guide who does not drink.

I have n't been to a province in the last 2 months ( total 10 ) that have required me to quarantine.

I agree, some people are so negative, we're almost free, get out there and live again!
