Umh, her mates..

You see, it was agreed that a German would get this job, whilst the French got the job of head of the European Central Bank.

All very democratic - level playing fields and all that

And people wonder why Britain voted to leave, they should put up a statue of Nigel farage.

So the other member states are not capitulating to the UK's demands? How unreasonable of them. Still no-one could have seen this coming could they? Oh wait. About 48% of us did.

If English fisherman don't benefit from this, it's been a pointless exercise for us."

I hope you enjoy your republican Scotland - I will enjoy watching you beg to rejoin the UK when you realize how much we carried you and how little you have on your own

Personally I do , I accept there will be some downsizing , the main problem that UK car manufacturing before covid19 is people not sure what to buy, some many different restrictions on where you can drive diesel cars, most people I know would buy electric if the pricing was lower or I understand there will be a £6,000 allowance announce next month for electric cars

I don't know of anyone that is buying diesel cars at the moment

Someone told me to drive some diesel cars into London you have to pay £32 per day in congestion charges and dirty fuel charges

that nearly £12k if you drive into London everyday

Excellent news.

The entire UK car manufacturing will consist of half a dozen guys making Sinclair C5's.

Who is going to buy a new car with the coming depression, and governments who keep moving the goalposts on emmissions, congestion charging, shutting roads off to all except buses and cycles?

You think BMW is going to invest that kind of money for that kind of return?

No you are going to have to pay more for something you could have had pre brexit. Also factor in the exchange rate where the pound is in freefall.

Again.

Yes it is a lot of metal. But its not over 50% of their sales. The EU car manufacturers can ride out the storm. The UK manufacturers will not.

Then who fills that void left in the UK?

I just read in the Post today that German automakers have $15B of inventory unsold.

Not out of context in any way at all, It was all part of the same point, I'm sorry if you didn't understand.

Poor try

"I will enjoy watching you beg to rejoin the UK"

Of course..........like all the other countries (Over 100 I believe) in the world that have gained their independence from the now pathetically depleted "Empire".

Oops sorry, not a single one has ever begged to come back, I wonder why?

The EU already has trade deals. And till now the UK didn't show that it can do better.

Oh, I forgot about chlorinated chicken and hormone meat

But the EU negotiated those trade deals and NOT the individual countries who are not permitted to negotiate their own trade deals. Only the EU trades commissioners were allowed to negotiate trade deals and all the details should be ratified by all EU countries before it takes effect.

So nobody knows if the UK will do better or not. I don't and I am certain that you and your supporters do either.

As for your comment "Oh, I forgot about chlorinated chicken and hormone meat" that deal has not been finalised either."

However please keep trying to find problems and tell us all about it.

What are you on about now? Come back to what? Independence was given. There is no depleted "Empire" to come back to- it's gone - but the UK isn't. Most of these countries elected to remain in the British Commonwealth. That's it. Nothing to do do with the UK or EU.

I appreciate your honesty. Other Brexiteers, especially the leaders, have not been that honest. They promised the UK will do better, telling people that all you need is being on your own (“sovereignty”), completely ignoring that it also takes good negotiators and (most importantly) clout.

Nowadays sovereignty is an illusion, we all depend too much on each other
GB chose to leave , let's hope  that it is the right choice, but EU can live without GB

Democracy is not an illusion though, the British Government were quite in order to give its citizens the choice, I wouldn't have thought that most other countries in the EU will be offered that choice, does it not bother you that you are not trusted to vote in case you vote the wrong way, isn't that how dictatorships operate?

Not knowing what a dictatorship is but complaining when we call Brexiteers uneducated... really wondering to what sort of school you guys went (if any)... ????

Typical remainer tactic, take one sentence out of a paragraph, and present it out of context

It’s not an insult when you feel insulted because of your education. If I touched a nerve there—no one forced you to parade your lack of knowledge in front of everyone.

And in he same breath no-one asked you to parade your air of superiority, which you could give a masterclasses on. Why do you feel the need to be arrogant all the time, can't you reply to a topic without an insult, is that what an education does to people?

I’m afraid the rest of his post just underlined that he doesn’t know what a dictatorship is, so if anything I was doing him a favor by not further exposing his lack of knowledge.
