Nice to see you've managed to pull yourself away from your PlayStation, however the PlayStations 'EUs game of Golf 1973' has been superseded by 'World Cup Rugby,' the EU have changed the game without telling anyone, but would still like the game to be called EUs Game of Golf just for its marketing strategy.

Because they can. And you can always play mini golf or go back to your game boy.

Yes but those trade deals between the EU and other nations involve tariffs on many items.

Why would the EU allow tariff free trade between the UK and itself if the UK was able to undercut the standards imposed on the EU's own businesses?

My point is we cannot pretend the UK is looking for a level playing field. The UK wants the benefits of access to the EU markets without having to comply to EU standards.

If you want in the club you have to adhere to the clubs rules.

I don't think that the UK wants the benefits of access to the EU markets without having to comply to EU standards - the UK already uses those standards - the main issues are as I previously described.

Who will leave the European Union next?

According to Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage, Brexit will have a massive impact on the EU, with Mr Farage predicting the bloc will collapse “within 10 years”.

Mr Farage told Parliament Magazine that Italy, Poland and Denmark would be next three countries to potentially leave the EU.

He said he will continue to campaign “all over Europe” against the EU in the coming months and years.

Of Italy, Poland and Denmark Mr Farage declared: “They are the frontrunners.”

"He said he will continue to campaign “all over Europe” against the EU in the coming months and years." Total idiocy from the conman.

Nigel Farage got treated appropriately when he came to Edinburgh, another part of Britain.

Does anyone with a brain seriously believe that he would be welcomed by the ordinary people of other countries in the EU.....seriously.......... much more likely to be drowned in a vat of Brandy, or ratatouille.

This stat shows that the EU has become MORE popular with its voters, probably as a result of  watching the UK making such a mess of it.

What is it that leads people to such petty bitterness that makes them want other countries to do badly, whatever organisation they are part of, so childish.  So if Thailand leaves ASEAN do we expect the Thais to spend their time wishing Malasia, Singapore etc to do badly.

I would like to see all countries do well, particularly with the vast problems they will face post Covid.

The ESS. Literally an EU set up but with the UK paying in most of the cash, while still being expected to report to the EU Commission!

In return for largely unimpeded access by British companies to the European single market, the EU requires Britain to continue to accept EU social, environmental or consumer standards. This is to avoid distortions of competition.

The UK refused.

It is annoying to see how much concessions the EU has already made.

For a third country full market access without consideration?

It is really no longer clear why special treatment is always given for the UK.

End the senseless negotiations.

No free EU market access for the UK. Trade only according to WTO rules.

This is the best medicine for the UK.

Best erect it at the bottom of the Thames, save time.????????

Given the Remainer's predisposition to ignore Democratic process and the wishes of the majority, that's an excellent point ????.

I'd like to think they wouldn't stoop to the levels of BLM vandalism/mob rule though.

Nor should he need to make a deal. UK wants out so out it goes. Its obvious its the UK that wants a deal. Its not obvious EU does.

We are already out, this is what happens afterwards and if you think that it is not obvious that the EU doesn't want a deal, then you should seriously think again.

No , the E.U. does not want  a free loader deal for U.K. with same privilege's as before when member of the club  ….but no membership to pay ….dream scenario from brexiteers ….forget it chaps :whistling:

To suggest that the UK is a "free loader" is totally harebrained. We are the EUs largest customer, now should the EU wish to lose a customer of such then that is totally up to them.

The EU has never been a club, the clubs that I have been affiliated to in the past have always had their members paying equal subscriptions and not paying their members for being in that club like the EU does to other countries.

the major cause for the UK negotiators failure it's mainly due to not follow the master of the deal advise... they should have brought him in, he did offer "free" advise to Theresa May

There we go with the "distortions of competition" again. It's the EU restrictions which are keeping all of them noncompetitive, be they EU standards, or external trade and tariffs. They won't like it up 'em when we do trade freely with the rest of the world.

How many concessions have the EU already made on this? They barely 'allowed' us leave without a fight which is not quite over yet. The full market access is not without consideration. The consideration is full access to the UK market - you know that lovely export of 372 Billion quids worth of EU exports. That's enough for special treatment.

Happy to end the 'senseless negotiations' right now and go straight to No Deal. However there will be a few EU states who need a spoon full of sugar with their medicine. Sugar in the UK will become cheaper as the EU tariff is lifted.

these are the joy and happiness of a blind Brexit
