Xbox Games

Featured Replies

Yes, I'm a freak. The Xbox is my master. When the waves are high, and the slanted rain stings my eyes, and UBC is as disappointing as usual, I turn to my lovely little black box.

Anyways, any of you cats got an xbox? Where do u get your games? I found three or four places in Patong that have games (usually B180 per pop, but sometimes B150). I heard of a shop in town that has them, but I'm not sure where. And of course TESCO, which is where I get most of my games cuz the guy who owns the shop is honest and funny as ###### (and he has good games, and most of the new ones). Anyways....anybody got some other xbox game locations 4 me? Cheers!

I think they are available from the same place I am looking for....

That is the HYPNOTHERAPIST :D:o:D

In regard to your post and mine, it seems there are no helpers :D

Post about whores and bars and you will be inundated with responses :o

Cool your jets boys!

I was out last night and saw a new computer game shop had opened up next to Molly Mallones / Warner Brothers merhandise shop on Beach road in Patong.

They had PS2, xbox and PC games in there - looked cool.

By the way, what do you think of Bar Girls and bars in genral? :o

Bargirls...a very crafty, street-wise sort with a vast ability to annoy me to the point of well, annoyance (to be civil)...though I have met a few who seemed genuinely interested, in...well, manipulation...oh my...have I let their secret out?

As for bars, I am a fan, though I have yet to find a bar in Phuket, and in Thailand, that I would deem home...I need a little more than Bon Jovi and the Eagles to motivate me to pay tourist prices for sub-par beer

And Bob Marley is not the answer

...but

foosball & pool tables would possibly change that

Fatter Than Harry...

I will definitely check out that new shop....thanks for the info!!!!!!

I'm gunna hijack this thread now, cos im nasty like that me...

PC Games... Bored with the very limited selection available in Lotus, Big C and Ocean... havent been over to patong yet to check out that game shop... but i want to know if there are any other PC game shops around... need a new game ya see.

So what other game shops are there on this paradise of an island we live on?

Ta muchly

Normal thread operations have now been restored

Of course i mean real ones!!!

I wont stoop to the lowly levels of pirated games, honest!!!

(Should i wish to find such things.. where would i look? :o )

I'd tell you, but I've had my account here suspended once already for supposedly encouraging members to break the law...

You'd be ding a public service by telling me, because, armed with the information, i could ensure i didnt stray into the murky depths of software piracy... i could take evasive action when i found myself too close to such establishments :D

email me :o

Where I live they are no PC games sold at all.

I have to take my puter back to the shop where I bought it and they install the games for me. I have been doing this for three years now and they still have not charged me one baht.

Problem is I want MS Flight Simulator and they do not have it.

Any one here got a copy ?

Sounds like a pain in the ass....but free games nonetheless.

There is a game shop in the Lotus building. Close to Pizza hut, beside the shop that sells all the hair accessory stuff. It's in the middle row and can't be missed. Also next to a toy shop, soap shop.

Another one is Pearl Game next to Pearl Bowl. On the road where's theres lots of Chinese gold shops in Phuket town. The road where Metropole Hotel is sitting on.

i am from Australia and i am visting phuket in Jan next year. I am very interested in buying a PS2 or X-Box in Phuket, however before i do i need to find out a few details.

1. Mow much, on average would one be?

2. Is it worth buying one there or will it break?

3. How much are the games on average and can you get mod-chips installed in them?

I would be grateful if you could reply

Cheers

1. Depends on the console you want, currently PS2's retail about 8,000baht and XBox's at about 10,000baht

2. In my experience the console is of a reasonable standard, if you buy one mod-chipped already then theres a small risk that something might go wrong somewhere down the line. If you intend to take it "home" with you then i would highly recomend you transport it as hand luggage.

3. Games vary, depending on your negotiation skills and if you want the game with manuals or without. Yes you can get a mod-chipped console here fairly easily

The 3-4 places in Patong mentioned includes the shop which is hidden behind a 'concealed' door in a certain shop on the beach road I guess? Sells a wide range of DVD's, CD's and games for most console formats? I can't verify that they are originals though :o
