Phuket people petition for debt relief for COVID-affected businesses

PHUKET:-- About 100 people gathered at Phuket Provincial Hall this afternoon (aug 6) to file a petition calling for debt relief for businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

The group, calling themselves the “COVID-19 affected people club”, carried placards urging the Prime Minister and other leading officials to help.

 

The petition submitted today featured about 4,600 signatures, said Thipsukhon Thongtan, president of the club.

Governor not wearing a mask and he/his minders allowing many folks to gather close to him with no distancing.  Mr. Anutin might have something to say about that.

Stopped reading this tripe about bizarre demands for relief from financial risk in order to pay taxes.


The tourism industry in Phuket is so far beyond corrupt with dodgy commissions for ‘sales booths, ‘taxi’ drivers and hotels ripping off tourists.

 

You got what you deserved after years of ignored abuse.


Zero sympathy.
