It's no surprise that Thais don't want foreigners here. Unfortunately they class anyone not Thai as a foreigner, so the good guys are tarred with the same brush.

That may be, but anyone not Thai is a foreigner in their eyes, except that farangs, as they refer to us as, are Caucasians. They have other terms for people from Africa, South Asia and the Middle East. If you are a good guy, you should have no worries about Thais not wanting you here.  I certainly don't get the aggravation some people on here talk about.

while it's true a foreigner is anyone not Thai, the Thais themselves most certainly have opinions and preference between the different nationalities.

They should have known protection rackets are reserved occupations for BIBs. Friend owns restaurant in Pattaya, gets two shakedowns: one from locals and special team from Bangkok. 10K each per month.

So what's he doing about it ? Sweet F. A?

Bypass the both Teams and go to the Top and  get it sorted .

They don't count as "Falangs", they called "Kaeks". For the Thais is a big difference between a Falang and a Kaek.

How is kaek pronounced please.

An Apple watch was stolen.

Surely the mafia aren't interested in Apple watches?  I don't know but if I was mafia then I'd prefer not to be associated with low level crime involving cheap tech.
