When you come to live in Thailand the money you bring regardless of the amount you have to be prepared to lose let’s be serious we foreigners are not welcomed with open arms when you have government ministers calling us dirty farangs having said that I came 20 years ago and delved into company ownership  I built and sold including the companies  if you can afford it build the property for yourself and if your plot is big enough build a stand alone apartment rent it out as a business pay your taxes keep up with having your accounts audited each year and you should never have any issues that’s what I’ve done I even take out full insurance on both properties including liability. At the end of the day we are guests if they want to kick us out tomorrow they will do wether you rent own a condo in your own name or have a company we are expendable at the end of the day ! One thing I would never do is put the property in a GF name you will lose it !
