Live in Pattaya close to floating market.  Have to go to drivers license office for Thai license and need a medical certificate.  Where is a cheap/fast clinic to obtain one and about what is the cost? 

Got mine at a small clinic on Klang. Many clinics will issue them takes 15 minutes 200 to 300 b.

Any local clinic or hospital. Tell them you need a Medical Certificate for a Driving licence. They’ll know what to do and you’ll be in and out in less than 10mins.

If they are unsure, just ride around and find another clinic.

its the green/white government clinics that hand out these certificates,

dont worry about the cost, this is the cheapest kind of clinics,

guess 2-300 baht

I take it you need a medical certificate if you have a Work Permit? What about a residence cert from Immigration?

My motorbike driving licence expires next month September 12th do I need a medical certificate?

If going from a 5 year licence to same, no you do not.

for a two year to a five year,

I learn I also need a paper from immigration to confirm my address, I suppose both are OK only for seven days, I gave a medical certificate 3 weeks ago for my yearly visa extension I will go to see the same doctor, I suppose I will have to pass the "exam" for color and brakes!

You just need to be breathing to get the certificate.

Any will do. I used Buakhao Clinic opposite LK Metro. Receptionist signed pro forma. 2 minutes, 100 baht. One of the standard declarations on the certificate is that you aren't a alcoholic. Shows how much they know. 555

The brakes reaction wasn't there last time I did it.... a color blindness test, eyesight and depth perception is done for all.
